According to China Customs statistics, from January to August, my total import and export with Africa was US$134.15 billion, up 20.4% year-on-year, exceeding the overall growth rate of foreign trade in the same period by 4.3 percentage points. Among them, my non-exports were 68.54 billion US dollars, an increase of 10.0%, from non-imports 65.62 billion US dollars, an increase of 33.4%; the surplus was 2.92 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 77.7%.
In the month of August, my total import and export with Africa was 17.88 billion US dollars, an increase of 31.9% year-on-year and 4.0% quarter-on-quarter. Among them, my non-exports were 9.19 billion US dollars, up 18.7% year-on-year and 2.2% quarter-on-quarter; from non-imports 8.69 billion US dollars, up 46.8% year-on-year, and 6.0% quarter-on-quarter; trade surplus was 490 million US dollars, down 73.0% year-on-year.
From January to August, my foreign trade growth rate was the highest in the world, especially import growth was 10.8 percentage points higher than that of the second Latin American, and it was 12.5 percentage points higher than the foreign trade import in the same period. (Liu Ke)
